Street Lamp is four piece genre-bending psychedelic funk group hailing straight from San Antonio’s Westside. The group formed in 2023 and have been playing shows non-stop across Texas and touring the South. The group stopped by Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s newsroom November 17th, 2024 to show the Live in the Newsroom team how they funk down.
Live in the Newsroom is a student-run project under TAMUSA Radio and Enlace Media Lab where musicians perform intimate concerts to a small group of people inside the Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s newsroom.
The mission of Live in the Newsroom is to document local talent and archive Texas-based music while also giving a platform to musicians.
